MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Two guiding principles underlie our degree and research programs:
A sound foundation of business and management knowledge: For example, designing, building, and implementing information systems, which add value, requires project team members that understand business strategy, industry structures, and organizational behavior as well as relevant functional knowledge.
A strong understanding of programming: For example, database use & design, systems analysis & design. This is achieved through a working knowledge of information technologies combined with hands-on experience applying these technical skills to problems in actual organizations.
