Financial Assistance
Various forms of financial assistance are available to students who have been admitted to the Michael F. Price College of Business doctoral program. The following are among the most common sources of aid available:
Graduate Assistantships: Nine-month assistantships are awarded to students in return for their assistance in the mission of the College. Research Assistants help faculty on research projects and other professional activities. Teaching Assistants either instruct undergraduate courses or assist faculty with instruction. Assistants receive a stipend and are granted in-state tuition status. The current stipend is $15,300 for nine months. The Assistantships have a four-year term, conditional on the student making adequate progress in the program.
Graduate Foundation Fellowships in Business are available for nationally competitive students. The precise details of the fellowship package vary slightly depending on area of study. The package includes a Graduate Assistant stipend (see above), additional cash stipend of up to $5,300 per year, in-state tuition waiver, health insurance subsidy, and a $1,500 budget for program related travel. These fellowships are expected to be for a term of four years. The application deadline is February 1.
Barnett Fellowships of up to $5,000 per year are awarded to students on the basis of scholarly potential. Barnett Fellows also normally receive teaching or research fellowships.
Tuition Waiver Scholarships are awarded to Oklahoma residents with demonstrated scholarly potential.
Summer Financial Aid in the form of graduate assistantships is available to selected students.
