A critical time in the full-time MBA experience is the summer following the four modules of coursework. Students are strongly encouraged to seek internship opportunities domestically or abroad during the summer months. We work one-on-one with our students to help them attain internships in their fields of professional interest. In many cases, the summer internship results in a student returning to campus with a full-time employment offer in hand.
Domestic Internships - Recent MBA internships have been completed in the following organizations: ConocoPhillips, Bear Sterns, ExxonMobil, Bank of Oklahoma, KPMG and many more. Networking opportunities through the Price College make these summer ventures possible.
Price Scholars Program: The OU MBA Price Scholars Program selects up to nine students for a summer in New York City. Price Scholars enroll for in evening course at the Stern School of Business (NYU) and attend a value investing seminar at Columbia University. During the day Price Scholars participate in an internship in New York City. All expenses are paid for students selected to participate in this program. Participation is subject to a competitive application process.
International Internships - The opportunity to travel and spend several months abroad during the summer is for many MBA's a life changing experience. Not only do they experience the global business environment from a new perspective, but they gain insight on the operations of an international organization. Globally our students have interned in London, England; Dijon, France; Seoul, Korea; Guadalajara, Mexico and Peru.
Dunham Scholars Program: We are pleased to announce the formation of the Archie and Linda Dunham MBA Scholars. Funded by a generous gift from the Dunham’s, this program provides a unique and unparalleled opportunity for four outstanding MBA students each summer to acquire international experience through academic study and internship opportunities abroad, exposing them to the best practices of the world's leading companies. Dunham Scholars will spend the summer in London, intern in the London financial district or in an international corporate setting and take a course at the London School of Economics. All expenses are paid for students selected to participate in this program. Participation is subject to a competitive application process.
