Letter from The Dean
Chuck Doyle (left) with Dean Kenneth Evans during his visit at a Price College Executive-in-Residence
Welcome to another issue of our Price College electronic newsletter. As you know, this is in response to those of you who enjoy keeping up with the new initiatives and current events around the college.
We’ve had a busy fall semester and it is quickly coming to a close. We anticipate just over 250 graduates next month. While the economy is presenting a challenging job market, we’re confident our exceptional graduates will be successful in securing positions.
This issue highlights several opportunities students have had to interact with some very successful business leaders. Our Distinguished Speaker program and Executive-in-Residence program have been very well received by students and faculty alike. One-on-one time with these high-profile individuals facilitates a genuine glimpse of the attributes required to succeed.
In answer to the economic news of late, a special panel discussion was held to help answer questions and address concerns. Price College was excited to be able to reach out to the OU community with some of our in-house experts. This article will brief you on the participants and discussion.
You will enjoy reading about the Westheimer Competition, now in its sixth year. A record number of teams expressed interest in the competition which resulted in a participant waiting list. This event has gained momentum and is quickly becoming a hallmark of the college.
As the holiday season quickly approaches, please accept my best wishes to you and your family from your Price College family.
Kenneth R. Evans
