PhD (Michigan) Professor Nan teaches information systems and database management. Her research interests include behavioral and economic factors in management information systems. She has employed empirical analysis, experiments and multi-agent models to study difficulties and remedies of virtual teamwork, trust in the network economy and schedule and budget pressure in software engineering. Her work has been presented at numerous national and international conferences such as ICIS, AMCIS, Academy of Management, CSCW and CHI. Before entering the PhD program, she worked as a web and database developer/administrator at School of Public Health, University of Minnesota.
