Clinical Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems

 

Nate Stout

 

PhD (Indiana University) Professor Stout teaches a variety of Management Information Systems courses for the Price College at OU. His teaching interests include Information Technology for Business, End-User applications for decision-making, systems analysis and design, and database management. He previously taught at Indiana University where he received teaching excellence awards and innovative teaching awards.

 

Professor Stout's research interest include collaborative technology, end-user application development, and technology utilization for innovative education. His research has been presented at various conferences such as AMCIS, ICIS, and DSI. He is a member of the Academy of Management, Decision Sciences, and Association of Information Systems as well as being a member of Beta Gamma Sigma professional society. He serves as a reviewer for several journals and has served as session chairs for academic conferences. Prior to entering the Ph.D. program he worked for the government as a business administrator and as a head technician for a plant breeding and genetics laboratory.
