Professional Development Shadowing Program
Purpose
The program is designed to provide development and experiential learning opportunities for Marketing and Supply Chain Management students. Students need a greater appreciation of the various job positions within the companies that recruit on campus. Further, they may be unaware of how a specific job 'fits' within the company's structure and mission. The shadowing program is designed to address these issues through site visits. The program provides students hands-on experience and a personalized opportunity to spend time with someone in the company and learn about the job. The shadow program is available to all students in Marketing and Supply Chain Management.
Joe Graff (major, Supply Chain Management) Visit to Associated Wholesale Grocers "I learned that even in the same building of a company there are a large number of different aspects of supply chain management; some are desk jobs, while other jobs require that you always move and trying to make work smoother. There is truly an entire world of options available in supply chain management. The professionals at AWG were also very helpful in pointing out things that I was currently learning that I would in fact use in a professional environment."
