W.R.Howell
Civic and business leader W.R. Howell was Chairman and CEO of the JCPenney Company from 1983-1997. It is through his vision and leadership that an endowment was presented to the University of Oklahoma's Business College which created the JCPenney Leadership Center in 1993. Mr. Howell, a 1958 OU Business Management Alumnus, presently serves on the boards of several high profile companies such as Exxon Mobil Corporation, the Williams Companies, and Halliburton.
