OKLAHOMA BANKERS ASSOCIATION INTERNSHIPS us

General:

The Oklahoma Bankers Association and the OU College of Business Administration intend to sponsor internships at Oklahoma banks this summer. The purpose is to introduce interested students to commercial banking.

 

Brief Description:

The internships combine education and work experience. Students will work at an Oklahoma bank under the direct supervision of a senior bank officer. Most interns rotate through all areas of the bank: loans, deposits, investments, accounting, etc. Others work on specific projects. Activities are also overseen by Professor Bryan Stanhouse, University of Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Bankers Association provides educational materials and additional enrichment programs.

 

Salary &Credit:

Interns will be paid at least $1500 per month. Interns will also receive three hours course credit.

 

Who's Eligible:

Applicants should have completed their junior year by the summer, should have an OU GPA of 2.75 or better and should have an interest in commercial banking. Majors outside the College of Business are eligible, though FIN 3303 and some accounting are desired. Graduates and MBA's are not eligible.
