MICHELLE GRUNSTED [Top] DIVISION OF MARKETING AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
JD (Oklahoma) LL.M. (Tulsa) Michelle "Shelly" Grunsted teaches The Legal Environment of Business, Real Property Law, and International Business Law at the graduate and undergraduate level. Professor Grunsted also teaches Employment Law for the graduate programs and is the Director of the Integrated Business Core (IBC) program in which students develop, market, advertise and sell a product. The proceeds support a community service project they volunteer with throughout the semester. Her work has appeared in many publications such as the Oklahoma Law Review, the Tulsa Law Review and the National Sovereignty Symposium. Professor Grunsted's research focuses on Native American issues of jurisdiction, Full Faith and Credit, and tribal courts. She also researches Employment law, International treaties, and federal/state/tribal court jurisdictional issues. Professor Grunsted has consulted with several Native American tribes in the areas of land and economic development, grant writing and implementation, and the design and implementation of tribal court regulatory and civil codes.
DANIEL T. OSTAS [Top] JAMES G. HARLOW JR. CHAIR IN BUSINESS ETHICS AND COMMUNITY SERVICE AND PROFESSOR OF LEGAL STUDIES
PhD and JD (Indiana) Professor Ostas has taught business law, business ethics, micro and macro economics, and business and society. His research interests are in the economic analysis of marketplace ethics, institutional economic analysis of law and corporate social responsibility. Professor Ostas' work has appeared in publications such as the American Business Law Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Economic Issues, University of Denver Law Review and Rutgers Law Journal. He is past editor-in-chief of the American Business Law Journal and past co-editor of the Atlantic Law Journal. His scholarly publications have won the Ralph C. Hoever Award and on two occasions won the Holmes-Cardozo Award for Excellence. Each of these awards recognizes excellence in legal research. Professor Ostas has received more than a dozen teaching awards, including the Allen J. Krowe Award for Teaching Excellence and the Bruce Magoon Master Teacher Award. He is also a past recipient of the Junior Faculty Award of Excellence granted by the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. He is a past president of the Mid-Atlantic Academy of Legal Studies in Business. He has served as an ethics consultant for the U.S. Postal Service and is a member of the Association for Evolutionary Economics, the Academy of Legal Studies in Business and the Society of Business Ethics.
NIM M. RAZOOK [Top] DAVID ROSS BOYD PROFESSOR OF LEGAL STUDIES
JD (Oklahoma) Professor Razook's teaching interests include the legal environment, ethics and commercial law. During his tenure at OU, Professor Razook has earned numerous teaching awards, including the University Regents', Baldwin, Merrick and General Education Teaching Awards, two MBA Professor of the Year awards, two Howard Hackler MBA Awards, the Hurley Robertson Teaching Award and several Student Business Association awards. He was named the Exxon Teaching Fellow in 1995-96, the Gerald Bowlby Teaching Fellow in 1997-98 and David Ross Boyd Professor in 2004. Professor Razook's research interests are primarily in the area of tort reform, product liability law, issues of federalism associated with federal commercial legislation and the scope of the judicial review of congressional actions under the Commerce Clause. His publications have appeared in numerous law and business-related academic journals. He is the former editor in chief of the Journal of Legal Studies Education and current staff editor of the American Business Law Journal. |
