PhD (Illinois) Professor Stanhouse's research interests include the impact of learning on risky asset prices and information economics. His articles have been published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Macroeconomics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, The Southern Economic Journal and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. In addition, he has presented papers at various academic and professional meetings and conferences. Formerly a financial economist with the U.S. Treasury Department, Professor Stanhouse taught at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, Washington State University and Notre Dame University prior to his appointment at the University of Oklahoma.

LOUIS H. EDERINGTON  [Top]Louis Ederington
MICHAEL F. PRICE CHAIR IN FINANCE AND
PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (Washington) Professor Ederington's research interests include fixed-income securities, futures and options, the impact of new information on financial markets, financial markets and institutions and interest-rate structure. He has written widely cited articles on hedging. His research has been published in a number of refereed journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Business, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Banking and Finance, The Financial Review, Financial Management, The Journal of Financial Research and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. Professor Ederington is associate editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance and Accounting and Finance. He has previously served as associate editor of the Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Financial Management. He has also served as director of the Financial Management Association and the Southern Finance Association and as a vice president of awards for the Financial Management Association. In 1993-94, Professor Ederington served as economic advisor to the deputy prime minister of the Republic of Georgia. He advised the government on monetary policy, fiscal policy, foreign exchange arrangements and privatization, in addition to assisting the government in negotiations with the IMF and World Bank. A recent article in the Journal of Finance Literature (2005) ranks Professor Ederington among the 50 most published authors in the top seven finance journals.

GARY W. EMERY [Top]
OKLAHOMA BANKERS' CHAIR IN FINANCE,
AND PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (Kansas) Professor Emery's teaching and research interest is corporate finance with an emphasis on short-term assets and liabilities. His articles on the management of cash and temporary investments, trade credit policy and the relationship between receivables and inventory have appeared in the Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Business, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management and Journal of Financial Research, among others. He received a Fulbright Fellowship in 1992 to study the role of trade credit in Japanese trading companies and a National Science Foundation Grant in 1999 to study electric energy production in a competitive environment. Professor Emery is an associate editor of the International Journal of Business Studies and Investment Management and Financial Innovations. He is an active member of the Financial Management Association, having served as an associate editor of its journal, Financial Management, and as a member of its Long-Range Planning, Competitive Paper Award, Program and Education committees.

CHITRU S. FERNANDO [Top]
MICHAEL F. PRICE PROFESSOR OF FINANCE AND
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF FINANCE;
DIRECTOR, CENTER FOR FINANCIAL STUDIES

PhD (Pennsylvania)  Professor Fernando's research interests are in corporate finance, corporate risk management, liquidity risk in financial markets, and energy markets. He has several publications to his credit, including articles in major refereed journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Financial Markets, Financial Management, Journal of Regulatory Economics, Energy Journal and European Journal of Operational Research. He is the recipient of several research awards and eight research grants, including three from the World Bank, and one each from the National Science Foundation, the Sloan Foundation and the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Wharton Risk and Decision Processes Center and a Research Fellow at the Wharton Financial Institutions Center. He has held faculty appointments at the University of Michigan Business School and Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business where he received the MBA Teacher of the Year award. He has also served on the faculty of the Carnegie-Mellon Program for Executives and as a Research Associate at the World Bank. He has lectured on corporate and international finance, and risk management topics to executives in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Professor Fernando has been cited for his teaching in three Business Week surveys of business schools. Dr. Fernando received the Ph.D. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; M.A. in Applied Economics from the University of Pennsylvania; M.S. in Management from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; M.S. in Technology and Policy from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and the B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honors from the University of Sri Lanka.

EVGENIA V. GOLUBEVA [Top]Janya Golubeva
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (Utah) Professor Golubeva's teaching interests include investments and corporate and international finance. Her research interests lie mainly in the areas of asset pricing and market microstructure. Dr. Golubeva has studied the effect of individual investor sentiment on stock returns in the U.S. using consumer confidence to measure sentiment. This study is to be published in The Review of Financial Studies. Dr. Golubeva has published an article examining the first voluntary switch of a U.S. company from the New York Stock Exchange to NASDAQ in the Journal of Financial Markets. Her research interests also include energy markets, specifically energy joint ventures and the dynamics of energy futures prices. Prior to pursuing a graduate degree at the University of Utah, she worked in the Russian oil and gas industry for three years. Professor Golubeva is a member of the American Finance Association and the Financial Management Association.

Scott linn
SCOTT C. LINN [Top]
R.W. "DICK" MOORE CHAIR IN FINANCE
AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
AND PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (Purdue) Professor Linn's research and teaching interests include corporate finance; corporate governance; risk management, including investment and portfolio management; the behavior of security prices; the behavior of intermediaries in real markets; and energy markets. His research articles have been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Management Science, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, Review of Futures Markets and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, among others. He serves as an Associate Editor for the journal International Review of Economics and Finance (Elsevier Science).  Professor Linn is a member of the American Finance Association, American Economics Association, Western Finance Association and Financial Management Association. He also holds the title of visiting professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Strathclyde (U.K.). He has served as director of the Financial Management Association and as Director of the Division of Finance and Center for Financial Studies at Price College. During the spring 2005 semester professor Linn was a visiting scholar in the Department of Finance and Quantitative Analysis at the University of Otago in New Zealand.  Professor Linn also holds an M.S. in Operations Research from Rutgers University.

WILLIAM L. MEGGINSONBill Megginson [Top]
RAINBOLT CHAIR IN FINANCE
AND PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (Florida State) Professor Megginson's research interests include international finance and corporate finance issues such as capital structure, venture capital and entrepreneurial finance, dividend policy and corporate control. Much of his recent research has focused on the privatization of state-owned enterprises, and he has recently served as a paid consultant for the Italian government, the New York Stock Exchange, the OECD, the International Federation of Stock Exchanges and Harvard and Princeton universities on the subject of listing privatized-firm shares on American stock markets. His teaching interests include corporate, international and entrepreneurial finance, and he won two teaching awards at the University of Georgia. Professor Megginson has published articles in several academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking and Financial Management. His 1994 paper documenting performance improvements for newly privatized firms won a Smith Breeden Distinguished Paper Award for outstanding research published in the Journal of Finance. In addition, the paper has been reprinted by several publishing firms and organizations, including the World Bank. Professor Megginson is an associate editor for the Journal of Financial Research and has authored or co-authored four textbooks. Prior to entering academia, he worked for five years as a petroleum chemist in the oil refining and petrochemical industries.

DUANE R. STOCK [Top]Duane Stock
MICHAEL F. PRICE STUDENT INVESTMENT FUND PROFESSOR AND PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (Illinois) Professor Stock's teaching interests include financial markets, banking and investments. His research interests include corporate bonds, municipal bonds, options, interest-rate risk and banking. In 1991, Professor Stock was selected as the first Harold S. Cooksey Lecturer in Risk Management. In 1998, he was named the first Michael F. Price Student Investment Fund Professor. He is associate editor of the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance and has twice received research grants from the Prochnow Education Foundation to conduct banking research. His articles have been published in Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Accounting Research, Decision Sciences, National Tax Journal, Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Banking and Finance and The Financial Review. He has been an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Economics and Business, The Financial Review, Journal of Risk and Insurance and Journal of Financial Research. Professor Stock has research and consulting experience with private corporations, state government and foundations. He is a member of Financial Management Association, American Finance Association and Western Finance Association.

VAHAP UYSAL [Top]Vahap Uysal
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (University of Texas-Austin) Professor Uysal's research interests include corporate finance, capital structure, and mergers and acquisitions. His papers have been presented at the NBER Corporate Finance, AFA and FMA Meetings. He is a member of the American Finance Association, Western Finance Association and Financial Management Association; he is the recipient of a Dean's Fellowship and Bruton Fellowship from the University of Texas. Prior to coming to Price College, Professor Uysal was an instructor in the Department of Finance at the University of Texas-Austin.

PRADEEP K. YADAV [Top]Pradeep Yadav
W. ROSS JOHNSTON CHAIR IN FINANCE
AND PROFESSOR OF FINANCE

PhD (Strathclyde, U.K.). Professor Yadav's research and consulting interests are in market microstructure; options; futures; risk management; ownership structure and corporate governance; and mergers and acquisitions. He has published extensively in leading Finance journals like the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Banking and Finance, Mathematical Finance, the Journal of Futures Markets and the Journal of Derivatives. Professor Yadav was awarded the New York Stock Exchange Prize for best paper on Market Microstructure in 2003, the 2002 Robert J. Schwartz Memorial Prize of the Fisher Black Memorial Foundation and the International Association of Financial Engineers for the most original research paper on derivatives, the Chicago Board of Trade Prize for Best Paper on Futures in 1993, and the UK Q-Group Best Paper Prize for 1989. Before coming to Price College, Professor Yadav served as Professor and Chair of Finance at Lancaster University in England; and as full-time Visiting Professor at the Stern School at New York University and the Anderson School in the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Professor Yadav was elected as Vice-President (2003) and as President (2004) of the European Finance Association; and was appointed Academic Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales in 1992. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Center for Analytical Finance at the Indian School of Business. Before joining academia, Professor Yadav worked as managing director and deputy managing director in public sector corporations, and in other senior public sector management positions. He also has served as a non-executive Director and as non-executive Chair on the Board of Directors of several corporations.
